Birthday Resolution

It was my birthday yesterday. As of 7.33pm, I am officially a quarter of a century. That's right, my very own Silver jubilee. And the highlight was savouring Chili's molten chocolate cake for free. Somehow, I don't have the material desire for anything! And I mean anything (apart from a car that is). I just want to be happy and contented and know that I'm being loved. Yes, extremely cheesy and perhaps overly mellow. I can only shrug. I never had a birthday resolution. I think the customary new year resolution is silly because it has no significant meaning. Literally nothing begins on a new year. Not even the financial year. However, I think otherwise of resolutions during the Islamic 'bukak buku amalan' day (what's it called again?) and the apparent propensity to have one during birthday is only... 'a list of action items post-mulling over what has one's life been about for the past year coming of age'... packaged differently to look more fancy. Intuitively, this year I'm making a debut in the resolutions department. These are my pledges; hear, hear...
1) I shall be more charitable and prove Pn. JJ wrong. No more lip service. This year I shall take it on for real. Car or no car.

2) I shall sign up for gym even if it means becoming 150 ringgit poorer monthly.

3) I shall update my address book and it will include birthdates of fellow friends.

4) I shall cover up before I'm 26.

I think that's more than enough for a first time. Thus, I shall quit there although I know I can think of more.

P.S. - I love MIKE GAYLE..his Legendary Girlfriend is irresistably funny, annoyingly pathetic and incredibly clever all at once!!!
