A Walk In The Park

The path I take across the Park
Where the seasons change before my eyes
The Autumn leaves fall into my hair
The Winter breeze chokes me, I could hardly breathe
In Spring it blossoms as my heart leaps
While the Summer's heat pierces through my skin
But I never whinge, I never weep

The same ol path, the same ol rhythm
Mundane as it seems
Blows my soul far away
To the land of my dreams, my fantasy
There I see no one here
I hear no sound here
And I only smell the sweetest of air
Whether in moroseness or felicity

The path I've been taking until today
I shall remember tomorrow and everyday after
As I walk through a park
Some future time, some other place
My heart will sore, my eyes will water
Knowing I shall never make
The same journey through that ol path again
And unlike the seasons that come and go
My life has changed forever...
