Easy but Not
It's so easy to pretend to switch your heart off and forget that our basic instinct is to love. It's just so easy to pretend to accept everything mechanically, logically and commercially but not sentimentally. It's too easy to carry on with no consequences. It's even easier to shelve and re-focus.But it ain't easy to confront smug marrieds and smug girlfriends and tell them to stop being so domesticatedly judgemental. It certainly ain't easy to tell people who feel sorry for you for no reason that you are sorry for them even more. It ain't easy to look but not see. It is especially ain't easy to look but not find or look but found wrong. And worse, to not be able to look at all.
I was so jealous. How could I have been so stupid?!
