And what were all these for? The last dinner & dance as a student of Imperial. It's amazing isn't it, what trouble we would go through to look nice? Was it worth it? You bet. Oh btw, I'm returning most of the above items since didn't use them (thank God for the return policy), so dont go get a heart-attack yet.
One of my friends got so hammered right from the beginning. Under normal circumstances, I would have freaked out especially when the random grabbing and groping starts, but this guy was an ultimate amusement. You should have seen him. It was extremely hillarious (for some unfathomable reason the constant multilingual shouting of profanity was funny too). I was laughing my head off all the way through dinner. My other friends kept having to apologise for his obnoxious behaviour but I told them not to worry about it cos I could do with free entertainment.
The food was good, excellent service (5* hotel kan? Of course), the choice of music wasn't too bad, the atmosphere was almost perfect. And...I smoked a cigar!! The wild side of me surfaced. Haha! Well actually only a few puffs and intermittenly - just for the show. "I'm going to tell your mom, Nurul. I'm going to tell your mom." Yeah, like they are ever coming to Malaysia. Even if they do this would have been far back in the history timeline. And it's not like its really nasty. I never drink, never bare my shoulders or show my legs (which made shopping hell btw). So that's ok I guess.
I had a great time. The best dinner I've been to so far. Mainly bcos we Chem Eng Class of 2004 have really bonded. Took us 4 whole years (3 for me) to get to this stage. After all these years...only now when its almost over. Things are always taken away from us just when it started to become good, that we could actually say, "going into college is fun" and mean it. Sigh...
p.s. Some men should seriously consider staying as far away from the dancefloor as they can. Seeing them jiggying is an absolute nightmare :). Just stick to the books for heaven's sake!!!
